The Health Benefits of Wine / Resveratrol

Awareness in wine’s health benefits in the last two decades may have been flashed by a wish to create an explanation for the so-called “French Paradox”. This was when a minor incidence of heart infection was found in France. The French have a diet rich in calories and it is common to think that this antagonistic diet would not go with good health.

The French are known to consume more beef, cheese and fat than their European neighbours. CNN reported a study by researchers at the institution of higher education in North Carolina, who found resveratrol, might fight tumor and help lower occurrence of heart infection.
