The Depression Fighting Vitamins

Depression is defined as a psychiatric disarray which is characterized by the following features such as thoughts of death, loss of appetite, helplessness, feelings of extreme sadness, incapability to concentrate, hopelessness, guilt and insomnia anhedonia. It is found that there is a connection between depression and vitamins in a human body.

The two are closely related to each other because of the vitamin B12 and Folic Acid (B9). Due to the absence of these two vitamins people often suffer from depression. There are no concrete confirmations that the intake of these vitamins helps in suppressing depression but still there are few good reasons telling why we should take them regularly.
The first reason is our food. It is an undeniable fact that the food, which we get from the supermarkets, has been denatured long time back before it becomes feeble in the supermarkets. After surviving several assaults of long transportation periods, insecticides, pesticides and preservatives, it’s incredible to know how there is some nutritional value left by any means. Secondly, it is a fact that a healthy brain activity is greatly dependent on the vitamins because the body is also dependent on them in performing its individual complicated functions.

Minerals and vitamins help in regulating the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. The body through external means can take vitamins, by the consumption of pills and liquids. These in addition to carbohydrates, proteins and fats are also available in powder form. The above mixture can be dissolved in water and hence can be easily consumed and thus the vitamin absorption level increases.
