Prevention and Treatment for Cellulites

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health

Although not the problem it once was, Cellulites still causes distress to numerous women who have additional fat in the tissues of their thighs, buttocks and stomach. Although rarer, men can also suffer with cellulites which are normally seen as areas that seem to be a lighter shade than the rest of the skin. When there is fluid in the layers of skin, it becomes a problem because embedded fats and other toxins become trapped and do not get cleaned out unlike a person with good circulation who will have smooth skin. These tissues harden and thicken, producing cellulites, bumpy lines in the skin often referred to as the ‘orange peel’ appearance.

Cellulites

How these cellulites will look and form depends on the person’s genetic make-up, the type of life they lead and their weight. Oddly, there are different types of cellulites and being overweight is only one of the causes of cellulite as active and fit women can also suffer and it is found in the muscles of sporty women such as professional dancers and athletes. The cellulites that cause the most problems are the hard or solid types because they attach themselves to the muscles and often affect more active persons. The fizzy cellulites on the other hand are more easily identified because they are closer to the surface of the skin and substantially easier to get rid of.

It is women who suffer the most from cellulite and this can begin anytime after their fourteenth birthday and will usually get worse with maturity. Often, cellulites occur because a woman has begun taking the birth control pill or has just given birth and even people who have suffered from injuries can acquire cellulites.

Having the correct diet and plenty of exercise is still believed to be the best way to control cellulites as physical exercise will improve the blood circulation which in turn improves the appearance of the skin. Although all forms physical exercise can help, it is the diet that needs to be more specific: one that is detoxifying and incorporates plenty of fruit and vegetables. Coffee and soft drinks should be avoided where practicable but wholegrain foods are definitely advocated.

Some individuals believe that eating spicy foods contributes to the cellulites establishment but no specific proof that this is the situation has so far been brought to light. Nonetheless, the same cannot be said for smoking and alcohol which should be avoided as both assist in the build-up of poisons in the body. While a reduced fat diet is always preferably for health, reducing the ingestion of fatty foods helps reduce the enlargement of the cellulites because fat is tougher to digest and more difficult to remove from your body.

While cellulite creams have some success at stopping the cellulites establishment and growth, they cannot as yet, remove cellulites from the tissue completely. The ointments work by making the skin more supple and contain alpha-hydroxyl acid which doesn’t in reality get rid of the cellulite but helps to hide it. Water, whether drunk or in therapy form is good for the skin as it removes toxins and fats from the system, improving the circulation and digestion, effectively rendering the cellulites less visible.
